Prenatal Care

Pregnancy is a time of beautiful transformation, but it can also bring physical discomforts like back pain, pelvic tension, or general aches. Physiotherapy offers gentle, thoughtful support to help you feel more at ease in your changing body. Whether you’re looking for relief from discomfort or simply want to feel more connected and confident, we’re here to walk with you through each stage.

Through gentle movement, breathing techniques, and focused body awareness, we help support your growing belly while preparing your body for the birth experience you hope for. Our goal is to help you feel strong, supported, and empowered—both during pregnancy and in the recovery that follows.

FAQ's

When should I start prenatal physiotherapy?

You can begin at any point in your pregnancy, even if you’re not experiencing pain—it’s a proactive way to prepare for birth.

Yes! We use gentle, safe techniques and exercises to relieve pelvic girdle or pubic symphysis pain.

Postnatal Care

Your recovery after birth is just as important as the care you received during pregnancy. Whether you’ve had a vaginal birth or a C-section, your body has been through a profound experience and deserves thoughtful, nurturing support. Postnatal physiotherapy offers care tailored to your unique recovery—assessing pelvic floor function, easing discomfort, and helping you reconnect with your body.

From scar care and perineal healing to gentle rehabilitation, we’re here to support your return to strength and confidence. With the right guidance, you can heal well, move comfortably, and feel ready for both daily life and future fitness.

FAQ's

When can I come for postnatal physio after birth?

As soon as you feel ready—some moms come as early as 2–6 weeks postpartum. No heavy exercise will be done until cleared by your doctor at your 6 week check up, thereafter we can assess your readiness to return to more strenuous exercise. We start with the basics!

Not necessarily! We can start with gentle support before that, and tailor care to how you’re feeling.

Women's Health

Many challenges women face often go unspoken—but they’re far more common than you might think, and most are very treatable. At Flourish, we’ve created a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly and feel heard without judgment.

We help women navigate concerns like pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, painful intercourse, diastasis recti, and more. Whether you’re newly postpartum or it’s been years since giving birth, you deserve to feel strong, confident, and supported in your recovery.

FAQ's

Is it normal to leak when I sneeze or laugh?

Common, yes—but not something you have to live with. Physiotherapy can help restore bladder control.

It’s a separation of your abdominal muscles post-pregnancy. With the right support, it can often be improved significantly.

Birth Balance & Breastfeeding Sessions

These sessions are designed to help you and your birth partner feel informed, confident, and empowered as you prepare for labour and life with a newborn. We’ll guide you through creating the right environment for the birth you want, exploring movement, breathing, and positioning techniques that support your baby’s journey through the birth canal.

We’ll also talk openly about breastfeeding—setting realistic expectations, troubleshooting common challenges, and helping you feel prepared for those early days of feeding and bonding. It’s all about giving you the tools to feel supported, no matter what your journey looks like.

FAQ's

Do I need to attend with a partner?

It’s encouraged, but not required. You’re welcome to come on your own or with any support person.

Absolutely! We also cover recovery, support during birth, and early baby care—including breastfeeding.

Lactation Consulting

Breastfeeding is natural—but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. Many women are led to believe it should just come naturally, only to find themselves struggling with pain, latching issues, low supply, or slow weight gain in their babies. It’s far more common than you think, and you don’t have to go through it alone.

Whether you’re dealing with cracked nipples, painful feeds, or planning to return to work while continuing to breastfeed, we’re here to help. With kind, personalised, and evidence-based support, we’ll guide you through each challenge so you and your baby can feel more confident and connected on your feeding journey.

FAQ's

Can you help even if I’ve already started breastfeeding?

Absolutely! Many moms benefit from support in the first few days or even weeks after birth. It’s never too late to get help.

In many cases, yes—but benefits may come from your day-to-day fund, not hospital cover. We can help with claims and explain everything clearly.

General Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy isn’t just for moms—it’s for anyone seeking relief and improved quality of life. Whether you’re dealing with sports injuries, post-surgical rehab, chronic pain, or everyday aches like back pain, tension headaches, or ankle sprains, we’re here to help.

As dedicated physiotherapists, we tailor your treatment to restore function and comfort, supporting you every step of the way to feel better and move more freely. Whatever challenges you’re facing, physio can make a real difference.

FAQ's

Do you only treat women or moms?

While that’s my special interest, I treat all general physio concerns.

Yes! We often address post-op pain and work through a rehabilitation program together over the weeks following surgery.

Return to Exercise

Ready to move again but unsure where to start? After pregnancy and birth, your body has gone through many changes, and it’s important to return to exercise safely to prevent future problems. We carefully assess your postnatal body—checking your pelvic floor, abdominal wall, core stability, and alignment—so you can regain strength and confidence. Whether it’s running, lifting, or simply playing with your kids, we’ll guide you back to feeling strong and healthy, helping you laugh till you cry, not till you wet your pants.

FAQ's

When can I start exercising again after having a baby?

That depends on your recovery and birth experience—some moms can start gentle movement at 6 weeks, but we tailor this for you.

Postnatal bodies have been through a lot. A proper assessment helps prevent injury and issues like prolapse or incontinence later.

Pilates (Prenatal & Postnatal)

What a wonderful way to care for your body throughout pregnancy and during recovery after birth! Our specialised prenatal and postnatal Pilates classes offer a gentle, targeted approach to preparing your body for birth and building strength during healing.

Focusing on breathing, control, core strength, and pelvic floor support, these classes are tailored to your unique needs and the changes your body experiences. Whether you’re getting ready for birth or recovering afterwards, Pilates supports you gently without strain.

FAQ's

Do I need Pilates experience to join?

Not at all! These sessions are beginner-friendly and focused on supporting your journey.

Absolutely. With proper guidance, it’s one of the safest and most beneficial forms of movement.

Scar Management

Scars tell a powerful story, but they also need gentle care to heal well. Whether from a C-section or a perineal tear, we offer safe cold laser therapy and soft tissue management to promote healing, reduce discomfort, and support healthy, pain-free movement as your scar recovers.

We’re here to guide you through the process with treatments designed to help your body heal safely and comfortably.

FAQ's

Is it too late to treat my scar if it’s already healed?

Not at all. Even years later, scar tissue can benefit from treatment to release tightness and reduce discomfort.

Yes, it’s completely safe and can be an effective tool in your recovery.
