Welcome to Flourish Physiotherapy

Flourish Physiotherapy was born from a deep desire to care for women in the way I once needed myself. After becoming a mom and experiencing firsthand the physical and emotional challenges of pregnancy, birth, recovery, and breastfeeding, I realised how much more support women deserve during this time. I longed for someone who could gently guide me through birth preparation, help me heal afterward, and walk beside me in the tough early weeks of breastfeeding.

So I became that someone.

At Flourish, we blend physiotherapy, women’s health, and lactation consulting into one gentle, knowledgeable space—so you don’t have to navigate it all alone. This practice is built on compassion, evidence-based care, and a sincere belief that you deserve to feel strong, supported, and confident in your body and your journey into motherhood.

Here, we take our time. We listen deeply. And we care, from bump to beyond.

Meet Sarah

Hi, I’m Sarah — a physiotherapist, qualifying lactation consultant, and mom of two. Originally from Cape Town, I’ve called Swakopmund, Namibia home since 2017. My path to women’s health began with my own motherhood journey, especially after struggling with breastfeeding the first time around. After an emergency C-Section and a baby struggling to latch and not gaining enough weight, to my second baby born via VBAC and gaining weight well, I have experienced the two ends of the spectrum.  That experience sparked a passion to help other moms feel empowered, understood, and well cared for.

I hold a BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of the Western Cape and have been practicing since 2015. My special interest in women’s health has led me to complete further training in a range of areas to better support the women I work with. I’ve completed multiple Women’s Health courses, am certified in Pilates through APPI, and qualified as a Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance. I’m also a qualifying South African Certified Lactation Consultant, busy completing a comprehensive year-long program, and have trained in birth preparation through the Birth Balance Method.

I bring both clinical knowledge and lived experience into every session—because I know how important it is to feel heard, held, and healed during this life-changing time.

When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me outside with my family, soaking up nature, or getting lost in a good book
